How to Make an Indoor Awning

Posted in Articles, Home Decor, Homemade Stuff by admin on the May 5th, 2009

Have you ever wanted to spruce up your kitchen or sitting room window?

Here is a simple idea to add a custom cafe touch.

Frosting glass is an easy way to beautify your home, create private space, and let in natural light. Here you will discover three easy window treatments to create the same effect.

Semi-Permanent Frosting Spray

Using semi-permanent frosting spray will give you a quick and easy way to add detail to your home.

You will need frosting spray, temporary adhesive, tracing paper, and scissors or a hobby knife.

  1. Begin by cutting your tracing paper to fit the window.
  2. Create a stencil by attaching the tracing paper to the window, trace your design onto the paper, remove it, and cut out your design.
  3. Reattach your stencil to the glass and spray lightly and evenly until the desired opacity is achieved.
  4. Let the spray dry before removing the stencil.
  5. If you want to remove your decoration, use a razor blade or rough cloth.
