How to Install Outside Mount Blinds

1. Mark location for blinds right on each end of the headrail. The headrail must be level-even and centered against the window casting.
2. Mark diagonal bracket holes for screws. The two hinged-cover brackets should be positioned 1/4" beyond the ends of the headrail. If center support brackets are needed, align them with the mounting brackets where it does not interfere with the operation of the blind cord. Space evenly and keep out of the way of other working parts.
3. Drill the marked bracket holes using one of the recommended drill bits. Open hinged bracket doors, and screw brackets to wall or to the ceiling (ceiling mount). Again, the front edge of brackets must be aligned. (Two screws are provided for each bracket)
4. Clip the valance clips onto front of headrail. If more than two clips need to be installed, clip other evenly in-between, no more than 48" apart.
5. Slide the blinds headrial into brackets.
6. Close the hinged bracket doors and make sure they snap shut.
7. Pull down and towards the middle of blinds to release cord lock and lower blinds.
8. Snap valance into clips by inserting top edge in first. For the Valance returns, use hot glue on angle of return and attach to and end of valance
9. Install the hold down brackets (if requested). After the blind has been hung, pull blind down to full length. Mark both end of the blind right across from the hold down pin in the bottomrail. The mark must be level. Place hold down brackets at the reference marks. Drill and screw them. Release blind down and slip the pins into the brackets and bottomrail.
Treat the blinds as you would any fine wood furniture. Dust with a soft clean cloth or dusting mitt. Dust is easily brushed off, especially when cleaned at regular intervals. Avoid using harsh chemicals and cleaners.
